I figured this would be a good topic to start, because on the old forum that CB had years ago, there was a part were people would literally bash, criticize, and riducule other players about everything, the way they talked, played certain games, they way they bet...wether it be to little or to much, people would even be so rude to specifically mention peoples names and how they would never play in the same room with them again and tell others not to either. Let's just say it was horrible. So I figured it would be nice to have a place were people could go to say something nice, like maybe " I had fun playing with everyone lastnight in the Texas Holdem Tourney," and maybe even mention the specific room, or even a persons name. Maybe even congratulate someone on a win, wether it be a tourn win or a jackpot win. I'm sure everyone knows how good it feels to hear something nice, even sharing a nice story about family, something cute that a child or grandchild said that was funny can be uplifting. It may seem corney, but it sure beats people who have nothing nice to say, but say it anyways..........
I will start with something nice to say (LOL).... Thank You Whiteice for starting the forum, it is great, and I think it was very nice of you to do this for all of us at CB, I missed the old forum and have been writing CB about brining it back, and of course got no response. This forum is better then the old one, and I think it will grow fast..... Thank You
THE OTHER DAY, MY GRANDDAUGHTER (7) DID SOMETHING AND I SCOLDED HER FOR IT. I CANT RECALL WHAT IT WAS. BUT IT WASNT APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR. WELL, AS MUCH LIKE HER DAD SHE IS (UGHH!), SHE STOOD THERE WITH HER SERIOUS FACE AND SAID "THAT WASNT FUNNY, WAS IT MOTHER ?" (SHE CALLS ME "MOTHER") AND I SAID "NO IT WASNT!!" (VERY UPSET) SHE REPLIED STILL WITH A HALF SERIOUS LOOK ON HER FACE "NO, IT WASNT FUNNY..... IT WAS HILARIOUS !!!!! " AND STARTED LAUGHING. WELL >>>>>>>>> I COULDNT CONTROL MYSELF AND BUSTED OUT LAUGHING........... SHE LOOKED AT ME LIKE I LOST MY MIND AND WALKED AWAY AND WENT TO HER ROOM.. ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER SHE SAYS " HEY MOTHER >>> I MADE YOU LAUGH DIDNT I ?" WHAT A CHARACTER !!!! I DONT LAUGH OUT LOUD TOO OFTEN, BUT THIS WAS SOMETHING I DIDNT EXPECT TO HEAR AND JUST CAME OUT OF HER MOUTH IN SUCH A SERIOUS MANNER AND I SAT HERE AND LAUGHED SO HARD I HAD TEARS ROLLING DOWN MY FACE.
I am sure we will get both good and bad comments here. If we get a mix of good and bad then this forum will be worth reading and posting. I probably will post some of the not so nice myself but my posts will be the truth. I dont think you have to name names because most people will know who you are talking about anyway. We cant make people play fair and those people who dont play fair wont care what you say about them anyway. Now something nice to say. I want to thank the people who gives congrats to those who win a weekly or jackpot. if you feel the person did not win it fair and square keep quiet if you want to but do congrat the other winners.
There is bad and good in all of us, and you have given everyone a place to let it out. It may not be something everyone wasts to join in on, although I believe most probably will. From what I have seen in CB, the vast majority of the people playing there are good people, and Con and I have made many friends there. We hope to make many more. Actually, CB is where Con and I met. As unbelievable as it sounds, we each found our soulmates and intend to enjoy each other for the rest of our lives. Again, our prayers are with you and your family, whiteice.
I'm so glad to see everyone posting responses, I have read them all and I agree about the good and bad comments, I'm sure there will be both, but I do agree that using no names is a good idea, well I look forward to seeing the forum grow..... Oh and I think that it is so great that Sam and Con met on CB, how cool is that... well bye for now
Thanks Ice for the forum--Its Great to have a place for all to meet and keep in touch with each other--I'd like to know if anyone has seen Fleamaster in CB lately--Flea was such a regular for years & I haven't seen her in a while--I've tried e-mail--there was no answer at first and the last one came back as "account closed". Makes me wonder & worry--Tks & have a great day
I think the best part of Cb is "YOU". CB with all its quirks, even the ones that get our goats at times cannot take away the closeness we develop in friendships through this website. Some of you I know by your real name and other's I know by your id name. I know when I go in a room, there is always someone there that I am happy to see, to laugh with, joke with, and care about.
As a retired minister and counselor, there are times I come in the room from a day of holding the hand of one dying, or having come from performing a furneral, or still shaken by the sucide that I wasn't able to convinice not to happen. It is at these times, that you all lift me up by your joy. You all give me the opportunity to do service right where you are with no judgements, and at times I get to minster to your needs, for that I am grateful.
So Thank you all for allowing me to serve you when I can, and for serving me, when those days are just a little to much. Your the best flock, I ever had.
Well I hope nothing has happened to Flea, she is a sweetie. I remember one time in holdem when it was still pretty new, someone was leaving to go eat. She told them to bring their plate to the computer like everyone else, lol. I cracked up.
Anyway, I know what you mean Dab, no matter where we go in CB there is alway a warm hug waiting for us. I hope we never lose that. That is why we are members, not for the cash winnings or anything else.

i love all of the games and friends i have made at cb and i am always sad to see it when people leave our little extended family for whatever the reason
i know i must be hard to take at times and i apologize if i ever offend or upset anyone, i just have such a good time there i have to act up, lol, i hope you all know that when i pick on you (whether it is teasing kewl about his broken toe or rj about bail money or anyone else about anything else) that i do it with much affection, i would not waste my time teasing someone if they were not near and dear to my heart
i sincerely hope that we have many more years to come of the fun we have together at cb, thank you all of my dear friends for making the site such a pleasant escape for me
Some of my friends know on CB that I bought a farm in West Virginia recently. I would like to thank all of you for listening about it. Also for the kind and generous remarks about me and my new life here. Attaching a picture if anyone would like to see it?
