cb jr.(nw)

i know this is a cb forum but i know a lot of cb players also play at netwinner

i was wondering what everyone thinks of the changes they announced today

i posted a couple of comments in their forum but i know if we truly speak our minds there we will probably get our remarks deleted and will probably get banned from the forum completely

i am wondering if there is any legal action we can take against them as a group to get the money that we cashed out for on ecards that were the stated prizes at the time we redeemed our points

unlike cb which does not tell us anything about when or if we will get paid, nw has come out and said flat out that they are not going to pay us and they are giving us our points back (actually they doubled them, bfd since pts are pretty much meaningless now)

how can they legally do that when they have promised to pay us over and over again for the last 6 months?

i am wondering what the laws about stuff like this are in north carolina since that is where nw is and where cb moved to

i am pretty much ignorant of the laws for this type thing, hoping that someone that reads this can tell us how to proceed with some sort of class action law suit or whatever

I agree Knothead - the points in NW are worthless now.

I played & played for months to get enough points to redeem 2 - $100 ecount cards (one on Jan.15/08) and it was processing forever, until today, when I signed in, I saw that they had given me my points back plus an extra 100,000!

Woohooooo - like you said BFD - what are the points good for now?????

And, they didn't even have the decency to email to say what they had done!!

And I agree with you, since the points were redeemed long before the change, they should be legally obligated to either write a cheque for the amount or send the cards out.

I guess I will have to chalk this up to another life lesson learned about these websites that offer cash prizes.  Maybe from now on, I will have to stick to sites that I can't win anything on!! LMAO

Karen hmm

That really stinks, I dont play there too often but I went and peeked at the tos.. and says they have the right to switch your prize to something of equal value. I think only chance you'd have is making a case that 100,000 isnt equal value to cash.
I havent looked at the drawings lately, but is there something you can get for the 100,000?
isnt there a 25 dollar card?
also says by joining, you agree not to make a class action against them in the toc, but then goes on to say, ..if cant be resolved individually.. can be taken to court, but they wont pay more then 10 dollars or something.
I was thinking though, if you recieved a release form in your email, and you signed an returned that(digital signature) for a win..then they might be bound by that, once signed.
like a rental aggreement, once you sign name to it, your bound to it. So if they sent that to you, and you signed an returned when won.. I think that , in a sense was the ..whats the word... meaning they aggreed in writing to pay, and not exchange prize at a later date.
Wish you the best getting what you won. and i agree that points ARNT of equal or greater value to cash.
~good luck

I also have been waiting for 2 $25 ecards since feb. 4th. have not checked recently to see if points returned. Sent e-mail concerning wins last week no answer. What a scam again seems like you can't trust any of these sites. Will let you know if i get an answer to emails.
