My sons surgery

Just wanted to let everyone know that my son had his cancer surgery Monday. They removed 90 percent of his stomach, 18 inches of his colon, part of the pancreas, and the spleen. The operation took 6 hours. Right now he has an ostmy bag but at a later date they will reattach his colon. The cancer started in his colon and spread to the stomach. It did not penatrate the abdominal wall. He will be hospital for at least 2 weeks. They moved him from ICU yesterday to a regular room so I guess everything is going well.

Wish I had known sooner about surgery...would have sent prayers and good thoughts....still will, but glad surgery went well. May the recovery be a speedy one...my thoughts are with you, Ice, and your son!

p.s.....very nice job with this site!!!!
